Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Athletics World Rankings mobile app (“the App”), provided by Cedric Dubler (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.
1. What the App is
The App is a calculator. It computes World Athletics ranking points, placing scores, and qualification maths from the marks and details you enter, using published scoring tables and rules bundled with the App. It’s for personal, informational use only.
2. Not affiliated with World Athletics or the IOC
The App is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by World Athletics, the International Olympic Committee, or any athletics federation or governing body. “World Athletics,” “Olympic,” and related names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are referred to only for identification and descriptive purposes.
3. Accuracy and “as is” calculations
The App’s scores and projections are computed from World Athletics’ published scoring tables, ranking rules, and qualification systems as bundled with the App at the time of release. Those tables and rules may change at any time, and the App may lag behind such changes. Everything the App shows is an estimate for planning and information, not an official score, ranking, or qualification result. Do not rely on the App for official, competitive, selection, or qualification purposes; always confirm against official World Athletics sources. We don’t guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App unlawfully, or in a way that could damage or disable it;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or build a competing product from the App;
- misuse, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its original content are owned by us. The scoring tables and rules the App implements are published by World Athletics, and its names and trademarks remain the property of their owners. These Terms don’t grant you any rights in those trademarks beyond personal use of the App.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice. We’re not liable to you for any modification or discontinuation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or any loss arising from your reliance on the App’s calculations or projections. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law); where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your own country.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change and continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
