The rules, built in

The rules for your event, in plain English.

Ranking scores come with rules: which results count, how placing is weighted, wind, records, the eligibility window. The app lays them out for the event you are scoring. Aiming for the Ultimate Championship? It switches to the Road To qualification rules, the same scoring with the qualifying window and quotas layered on.

World Rankings
Rolling 12-month rankings
12-month window
Only performances from the last 12 months count toward your ranking. Anything older drops off.
Five performances minimum
You need at least five performance scores inside the window to be ranked.
Three from the main event
At least three of those scores have to come from the 100m itself. The similar events alone won't get you ranked.
Worlds & Olympics protected
Your most recent World Championships or Olympic Games result counts even if it falls outside the window, as long as it was within the last three years. Your latest area championships gets the same protection.
Windy days are taxed
A tailwind over +2.0 m/s shaves points off your Result Score, around 6 per m/s, while a headwind adds them. No wind reading at all means a flat 30-point deduction.
World records earn a bonus
Break the world record in your main event and 20 points are added straight to your ranking score, or 10 for equalling it. Records in similar events earn 10 and 5.
Guesting at another country's nationals
If their federation allows it, you can race at another country's national championships as a guest. You earn your Result Score but no Placing Score; it goes only to that country's own athletes.
Only the final scores placing
Heats, semis and qualifying rounds earn a Result Score for your mark, but no Placing Score. Only the final does. The exception is the biggest meets, where the round just before the final scores placing too.
Road To
Ultimate Championship 2026
One fixed window
Only results between 2 Sep 2025 and 1 Sep 2026 count. The window doesn't roll, so nothing drops off while it's open, and a result from before it opened never counts, however good it was.
16 in the field
The Ultimate Championship takes 16 athletes in this event. Every place not claimed by an automatic invitation is filled from the World Rankings, top down.
Three automatic invitations
The Olympic champion, World champion and Diamond League final winner are invited before rankings are counted, and can't fall out. A winner who is already in passes the invitation to the next finisher who isn't.
The cut line moves
The line sits at the last place in the field. Nothing is settled until the window closes on 1 Sep 2026; a place either side of it can change on one result anywhere in the world.
No entry standard
There's no mark that qualifies you. The ranking and the automatic invitations are the only ways in, and a Member Federation can't nominate you.
No country limit
Any number of athletes from one country can be invited in an individual event.
Windy days are taxed
A tailwind over +2.0 m/s shaves points off your Result Score, around 6 per m/s, while a headwind adds them. No wind reading at all means a flat 30-point deduction.
